Yeah, i just stood in between the portal and took it... again it's quite impressive actually :)

I did that a few times too, it looks really cool. I like the strange wavy effect when you stand at the sides of the portals, it makes your gun go all nutty and look duplicated.

I got it to happen quite vividly in the second bar scene. It showed a wavy double-vision of my gun :D Should have taken a shot.
