Hey all. I dunno if any of you have ever seen this game before, but it reminds me a lot of Wolfenstein updated with today's gaming engines. It's called Mortyr & it's a great game. I've been playing it for a few days now & it's a blast! It's got a similar motif of Wolfenstein; you're a guy sent in to kill Nazis, what fun! If any of you are interested in taking a look at it, you can check out the Mortyr website at http://www.mortyr.net . This game is made by Mirage & published by Interplay. It seems to use the Unreal engine, which I think is ok. Anyways, I would highly recommend Wolfenstein fans check out the site. Post what you think about the game/screenshots here. Thanks.

Who says that it's one of the worst games of the year? Some gaming magazines? What the hell do they know. Calling a game good or bad is strictly a judgement call. It's purely subjective. Just because some gaming magazines don't think that it's a great game doesn't mean that I don't either. I don't read that shit anyways. Those magazines are for people who can't make up their own damn minds on what games they like.
Granted, perhaps Mortyr isn't as good as say Half-Life or UT, but I'm not gonna say that it's a horrible game. It's just a FPS that happens to have a somewhat decent story-line to it, which is severely lacking in the FPS genre anyway.
So, if you're reading those magazines to get someone else's opinions on a game, then stop. The only real way to form an opinion about a game is to try it yourself. If you like it, great. Go out & get the full version. If not, then delete the demo & don't buy it. I piss on your replies!!

Uh........no.
You are so quick to jump at people because they said that a game sucks, OBVIOUSLY they havent played it, they read about it.
I did play it. It sucked. Bad AI, cheesy, well, everything. It was a very blah game.

this is one hellova post i have to say.
to the point. Id licensed Wolf3d rights to Activision, their current publisher, they gave it to a developer called Grey Matter. the game will use Q3:A engine, and is meant for the PC alone.

And it's supposedly out at Christmas, but I'm not holding my breath.
BTW I enjoyed Mortyr too, it was like playing Wolfenstein 3D if it had been made with the Unreal engine. Having said that after completing it twice I haven't rushed back to play it, especially as my PIII 500 causes parts of the speed up incredibly. For example in the opening demo, the first guard that is meant to be killed with the knife now survives and chases Mortyr. The knife swipes the guard far too quickly. Weird.
