I noticed Ken put the source code to this patch on his website. I haven't looked at it yet, but it may help us make a patch for Shadow Warrior.

A second option is to compare an EXE that has been patched to a non-patched EXE and see what has changed. Then manually make that change in a HEX editor.

On this topic, I'm investigating another workaround. If anyone has Win2000 installed with a SBLive, try download SoundFX2000 (http://www.softsystem.co.uk) and run Duke3D/Shadow Warrior to see if the game crashes at the same spots.

SoundFX is a sound blaster emulator for NT and W2K that allows all our old Apogee games to come back to life with sound!

I talked to Ken Silverman about a Shadow Warrior patch and he said he will work on it when he has time. The fix for Duke3D does not work directly with Shadow Warrior, the Hex values do not match up.
