I'm a long time lurker and just joined now. Do you think they should make references to things that happened in these forums (Kaisersoze incident etc), like they did in max payne 2. :censored:

Well, that would be nice to the very special people who have contributed a lot to the community here. But personally a thank you in the credits to the fans would be more then enough. Because we all know they are grateful for our support (even though we can be asses sometimes. ;) )

That would be cool, but I doubt they would actualy do it. I loved what Croteam did with Serious Sam First and Second encounters. They just listed a bunch of guys from the forums that were suportive of the games during development.
That might be a bit more realistic.

It would be cool if the forum goers were mentioned somehow but recently we haven't even been included in the info that has come out. It has taken the stalking skills of some of our more talented brothers here to show us what has been said or shown ie: the screenshot, system specs and twee bit of info. Nothing has been said to us directly in this forum:( except the confirmation of a few locations but that was one sentence that only aroused more questions rather then answer anything. The only thing we actually have been told by GB is basically "no that's a rumor we have nothing to show you". So I will be really surprised if 3DR decide to mention us as it seems we are expendable. But 3DR is the best IMO so I will be around to see what happens next. Duke is the coolest franchise and I wouldn't be hanging like this for some other wanna be Bad ass action hero.

Whenever he comes in here, he's bombarded. I can understand why he doesn't come around much but I wish he'd pop in more than once or twice every 3 months.

I suspect his posting here will pick up when they're closer to showing off the game.

I totally agree with you dude. I'm sure GB will be here a lot, helping to promote DNF when it's close to release. He hung around a fair bit in the Prey forums when it was up and coming. In due time all will be revealed. ;)

Just so you know Shacknews doesn't bite. ;) I've been posting there during my job because it's easier and much more of an instant thing. I bet George probably feels the same way.

Shack is less of a forum, more like a giant chat IRC room or something. The fact that the lastest chat changes every few hours really makes a difference too.

In MP2, when Max pretends he's one of the bad guys to get through a tough area in the game, one of the bad guys says "What about moving?" and then another says "What about it?". :)

I would like as in MP1, that at the end of the game.. They show a kind of a rare room that is dark at the beginning, but later the lights star blinking as you progress along it.. Later the lights turn on completely wtihout blinking.. If you notice there's an sniper and on walls will going to be the name of every forumer, and with the sniper you will be able to watch them clearly.. it would be nice...

I think some of the forumers should be in the game for their active role in here. Putting the names of all the forumers is just too much, there are more than 8000*, but most of them don't post at all. I know I won't make it into the game, I've been here just for around a year (less actually), but references of 3DR forums (as a whole) and DNF Cult are the most likely references/easter eggs that'll be in the game (besides the names of some forumers as I said before).
