The game was made by iD Software, however it was published by Apogee Software.

For clarification, it's published by Apogee in the shareware market.

Activision publishes (or did, not sure if they still sell it) in the retail market.

hey I just downloaded the sharware vershon for my pda its cool a little dificalt to manuver (I have a old dell x5) but it brings back the "good old days"

My dad found our old copy of Wolfenstein 3D (with the Nocturnal Missions), and an ASCII floor plan for every level. W00tzorx.

i have wolf3d for the mac >_>
I also have the flubbed release that activision put out that didn't have Spear of Destiny, so i also have an official Activision cdr with spear of destiny on it. First i've ever seen of a publisher sending out games on their own brand of media.

yeah that happened to me too, I got the Activision one, and I had to write in for the Spear of Destiny because it wasnt included.
