Will DNF have the "quick turn" button, like DN3D did? Whenever I'm playing an FPS that isn't DN3D I always wish it had it. (I've especially missed in in recent MultiPrey games ;))

Are you one of those keyboarders or what? :p
You can adjust your mouse speed for a reason... ;)

I use mouse/KB combo. I like the ability to turn 180 exactly quickly, makes it easy when grabbing weapons 'n such.

Since Duke is not (http://forums.3drealms.com/vb/showpost.php?p=253898) on the EDF's payroll, he has lost his ability to do an about-face. :p
I wouldn't mind having that back along with look-spring.

No way!
You'll have to do it manually with the mouse. Its just another little thing that you have to master, that separates the skilled from the not so skilled.
Plus, the less buttons we need to bind, the better.

GB Allready said (a long time ago) that duke will have as little buttons as possible. :)

Ideally, there would be just 1 button for 'actions', whose actual function would depend on context. For eg, I would bind it to the space bar. Press space on a door, and you open the door. Press space on an elevator button and you call the elevator. Press space on a tv and you change the channel. Press space on an enemy and you punch or mighty boot him (whichever would be more natural depending on your position and the location of the enemy). Tapping the spacebar once quickly would be a fast kick or a jab. Pressing and holding the spacebar would be a stronger kick/punch, and you keep your leg/arm extended until the space bar is let go. spacebar + toilet = flush. spacebar + window = break. spacebar + stripper = :)

isn't this something thats implemented in all games (use button) ...
^Yes. Woudn't like to have the mighty boot key the same as the Use key, though. Doesn't feel right :)

I concure on two ideas I read here:
Reload button (though not on the D3D) was sorely missing, since having one bullet left before reload and needing to go off in a fire fight sucks.
Also, the 180 buttons is great even for mouse users. I can find it very useful after grabbing a weapon facing a wall. The mouse is still pretty slow for it. Auto-centering is not really needed, but would be nice to be user-bindable instead of pre-set as default on a button. This would keep the buttons down.
The 180 button should be mapped, however, since some may consider it "cheating" if one knows how to bind this button and others do not (eg: casual gamers).
