hey dudes this is my first post. Wouldent be cool to be able to make the big guy talk? I would love to have a key to hit while blasting the shit out of those alien bastards. Would you guys be keen on this one? If so, what should the allmighty develpoers have him say? Could have him say all his harsh shit at anytime,mabey yous covered this one before so forgive me if i started a old post.

You'd stop using it eventually cause it'd pretty much be useless and it makes it harder to shoot stuff...

So I'd say it's better to leave it automatic(or both).

Yeah and it could get tiring for some people, you wouldn't like to hear duke's voice anymore.

chilling, i just remembered that half ass actor who thought he was the man awhile back cause he ripped off one of Elvis's lines for his movie, what was it? "hail to the king, baby" well any way he did the voice for his shit ass game and he had a talk button which was cool for a minute untill you heard his 4 lines. Imo hearing Duke at anytime would rock, and Duke's got more then 4 lines. So thats why i posted. Good idea? mabey. Will it survive the shit filter? prolly not. but who knows......peace and chicken grease

Yeah, it would be a nice addition in Duke matches (taunts)

But certainly not in Singleplayer...

I Duke interacts with an object, he'll comment it when using it...
And when kiling a certain enemiy, he'll also comment on that... It's not really a "one liner" if it isn't random imo...

But as mentioned, in Multiplayer, this would be a REALLY good idea...
Using a fitting comment each time you kill a foe in a certain way is great, as long it's not being overused by some jerk (people might be "spamming" the server with Duke talk, and stand out as annoying...

true dat peeps, over users would suck, mabey one line a min, or the top killer can spit out any time he likes. so to be number one in da dukematch means you can talk as much trash as you like. then you would have more incentive to get to the top. just thoughts, john st. john voice is so good for duke that hearing it solidifies who the real king is. Every game has tried to copy DN3D in some way or another, on the 64 it was the co op that rocked and was ahead of its time, yeah I know co op is not gana be in DNF but I still hope to see alt. dukes in the dukematches. mabey a Night strike duke or something..

Well the talk key doesn't have to be useless, it could restore your health, like the "YEEHAW!" button in Redneck Rampage :)

For example you could let Duke say "Let's Rock" like one time per level and it'd restore your health by a lot :)

Lines could also be restricted not to be used more than, say, 5 times in a row, and then wait a few seconds... That would add some "space" in betwen the use of comments, and when people simply keep using it anyways (they wait, and use it 5 times in a row, for no particular reason, then do it again etc) they can always be kicked... At least it's lesser annoying than if it's overused untill he gets kicked...

And people would also not use it so often, if they can only use it a few times in a row, and wait for it to "recharge" to use it again, which keeps some people from spamming with it...

In multiplayer that is... I still think comments should be untouched for singleplayer...
