Or will it be scrapped because people would see it as a "Prey ripoff", despite the fact it appeared first in a(n aborted version of) DNF?

There is a difference between a weapon and an enemy. That was George's response when asked in the Prey forum. The Prey one is a weapon the DNF one was an enemy.

Do you believe that the prodution of Duke 4 has caused you to rethink your own personal lifestyle? perhaps mabey Duke is "more a man"then yourself? Perhaps Duke is complete in every way, he's got the sexy shirt, the sexy jeans but what is it that he doesnt have? mabey you would like to talk bout now since you have time.....pssttt, there some bait guys, see if he bites.

And I bet Joe will try and sneak a dopefish in :dopefish:

EDIT: now this would be funny! Duke scoops a dopefish out of the water, then he rips one of its fins and throws the dopefish. Then the dopefish lets out a loud belch (courtesy of Joe ;) ) which kills enemies nearby. :D

Thats fine...let me explain why i said this exactly...i dont leave negative comments for nothing.

Someone made a comment about how it looks like the same alien bug weapon in "PREY"...I was just thinking of it that way, wow, if it IS just a copy of that weapon, throw this alien bug and it explodes...green acid everywhere...,then thats not very original, and not a very duke-ish type weapon...

NOW on the other hand...if you pull off one of its legs to piss it off...then throw it at an enemy and the bug goes nuts and then crawls inside the enemies head and eats their brains or something crazy like that...WOW,then!

but it DOES look like a boring weapon! that dude was right...it DOES look like its from prey! I hope they change its look at least, or axe that weapon...

That has been confirmed before, this one is an enemy, the one in Prey is a weapon...

It likely jumped at Duke's face, attched itself to it to make damage, and then Duke ripped a leg off, to get it off him...

Half-life used something similar.
Very basic similarity in that it had the same colors and made similar trilling/squealing sounds. But im pretty sure this one exploded on contact ala prey. :D
