Database Error

Now I know errors like these are very common among forums and often tend to appear for temporary amounts of time when there's server traffic, but I had never seen it appear here.

Everything is working fine now, but I thought I should report this in case it's something in vB that requires great attention.

The amount of users that we are getting it's normal for the database to hiccup for a bit. I've experienced it here and it usually only lasts 10 seconds.

Joe no doubt knows about it all because every time you get one of those errors it sends an email to Joe.

Yeah, there's really no need to report those, since I get an email each time it happens. It does say that. :)

However, if you DO report them, I need to know the EXACT time the request was made, otherwise the report is meaningless.

The database is backed up twice a day, it's possible you hit that at one of the moments that happens - when it is backed up it's usually less than a minute.

Ah yes, this is what I reported happening before, except I was worried because it seemed to happen every time I logged onto the website in the mornings... which was actually because I just happened to drag myself out of bed at the same time every morning during my unemployment (about 9:45am GMT), and this happened to be the server downtime ;)
