Half life 2: Episode 1 trouble

Im haveing a trouble while loading it
it crashes with an error message that says
"unable to load scripts/soundscapes_manifest.txt" what is the problem here?

Check the integrity of your game cache. Some file could've gotten corrupted somewhere, also make sure your sound drivers are up to date.

Do like I did...

Draw up a pentagram and put candle lights around it, set fire to the Half-Life 2 DVD and worship satan! I did that and satan told me that I had to download a crack :(

No actualy it worked, I had to reinstall it but my graphix card really sucks and all the models were just wire frame:doh:
