i have an unrelated question...
does the game have repetitive enemies? like DOOM3 should have been called "Imps in Space" and HL2, well it was pretty much combine soldiers and more combine soldiers

well it has quite a lot of hunters but it does mix it up with all the other weird creatures. i definitely didn't notice the hunters as much as i noticed the imps in doom 3, so it's not as repetitive.

also, is the full game any different to the demo (the first few levels Im refering to)?
and another question while Im at it... does Tommy swear alot more or have any good one-liners?

The demo levels are taken directly from the game, they are identical.

As for one-liners, there are a few nice ones in store for you later, which I won't spoil. :D

Well Later in the game he swears a lot, and is generally more talkitive then the "omg aliens?!" type lines he says at the begginning. The only enemies that are really annoying and repetitive are the flying enemies. You come across them every 3 seconds and they just pissed me off the whole game. They arn't particularly deadly they just have a lot of health and theres a lot of them.
