Quick Q regarding Prey Vol1 DRM

I know it comes with 4 permanent licenses and 2 temporary (8 hours). But no where on their site answered a couple of burning questions.

The 8hr temp licenses - after the 8 hours are up, will I get my temp license back? I used a temp one just in case so I can listen to it. So I have 1 left. After 8 hours, do I get back 2 temp licenses? (Then my PC wont be able to play it anymore?)

The temp one doesn't let me burn to CD. Would the perm lic allow?

Lastly, what if I have to reformat the PC? Can I use WMP to backup my license? Or do I have to go through DirectSound to let them know I am going to reformat a PC or that I have lost a license and want it back?

I hate DRM. :(

You will get the temp licence back in 24 hours after expiration

Perm licence will allow you to burn cd. I should know, I just burned a cd with a license. Infinate burns allowed.

You can use wmp to back up all licenses. That's a wmp feature.

The backed-up license in WMP... if I were to move to a new PC, would I use the backed-up license, or is it machine-specific? what would make it machine-specific? as a PC enthusiest, I upgrade alot, so would that affect the DRM? I know it affects Window's Activations.

You'll have to check with how windows media player works on that, I have no idea.

how do i get it to play? i keep getting this needs to update security crap, i click allow or w/e and it just sits there.:insomnia:

DRM hell.

I wonder though - if it is just sitting there because Windows Update is downloading the updates in the background. They tend not to show you what is going on. Hover your mouse over the yellow shield by the clock and it should let you know how many percent is done downloading, and even how far the install is.

i dont have that yellow shield thing...i installed all updates before work today, and theres none popping up when i try to update the security or w/e to listen to the soundtrack:(

Huh? Do you have WMP9 or 10? It should pop up and ask for your email and password you used to log into directsong to DL.

nm, i got it fixed...was using winamp..and appearantly it didnt like it. Opened with WMP and it works.
