It's been a long LONG time since i've enjoyed an SP game this much. I remember when I first saw pics of the "portals" and I thought how awesome they'd be. Well, many years later (unfortunately) I finally get to see them in-game and they are just as I expected: AWESOME! Maybe it's a new way of doing an old trick. Or maybe it's a not-so-new-thing with a different paint job (I don't know). Regardless (cause I don't really care), it fits into the game perfectly. It just plain looks cool, whether it appears in mid-air or in the side of a crate. Really adds to the atmosphere.

However what surprised me the most (because I didn't really expect it) was the sayings that Tommy says. WOW! Talk about flashbacks to DN3D! It's been so long since I played a game where my character just said "stuff" from time to time. I hadn't realized how much I missed that. It adds so much to the game. I know i'm not even a quarter of the way thru the game yet, so I have lots more to experience, but right now the stuff he says from time-to-time is reason enough to buy the game. He hasn't said a lot of funny stuff (not as much as Duke used to), but what he has said fits into the game perfectly AND, on occaision, is even funny (ala Duke style). Sorry to compare it to Duke so much, but that's the last game I played where my character just blurted out stuff that was just as much fun to hear as it was to play the game itself.

Like I wrote i've still got quite a ways to go in SP, and I won't even think about MP until after I finish SP. I'm already pleased with my purchase and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this game to anyone. It's like a breath of fresh air in the stale room of SP FPS. BIG GIANT CONGRATS TO GEORGE AND DA GUYS on an awesome job. WELL DONE! :D

Agreed! Thank you George & Joe for your constant connection to your fanbase and to the rest of the team for their dedication and hard work! It's been a great experience and i think you've caused some other devs to scratch their heads with new ideas. Overall you have helped the evolution of gaming to progess to a larger medium of enjoyment and it will only get better for years to come :)

P.S. I can't wait for Duke now... ;)

Hey guys, I think alot of your thanks and congrats should be going to Scott Miller for resurrecting the game and pushing it through to the finish line. This was definitely a work-of-passion for him.
