Someone there wrote that you only get it if MS thinks you don't suck.

Hey, you can get free MS Points from trading in games at an EB better than you can from MS themselves. After all, I'm quite sure that EB would just hand you over that activation card after trading in a couple of X360 games, and you can d/l at least two, maybe three Live Aracade games without trouble.

Coming soon to a PC near you! Seriously, Microsoft is bundling a similiar online service with Vista. I think it's even compatible with Xbox Live.

Yay so we too can pay for online play when previously it has been free. Boy I can't wait to download arcade games I can play flash versions of for free!

It's called Live Anywhere and it's going to be an expanded version of the Xbox Live system, only that it'll be available on Xbox, PCs and mobile phones. Means Xbox and PC gamers can game together as well, if they want to (not necessarily a bad thing, really).

Y'see...I doubt they can force people to pay for that stuff so long as the PC platform is a free (well, free in the sense that you can run any software you want on it without having to hack anything). In the end, someone's going to hack the game and add his own multiplayer in it.

Granted, Microsoft are what you can consider bad guys, so they might try to make PC gamers pay for stuff they already get for free, but the competition they have on the game front is as bad as they are. :P

If Live anywhere takes off, you'll be stuck with it! :p

Anyway, what's wrong with Live?
