Is there anyway that I can get the Doom 3 enemies into Prey?

I dont think so ..... You can maybe get the model files, texture files and animation files. You have to write all other AI-related stuff yourself according to Prey. But again, that's completely illegal.

I'm not planning for releasing it...I'm doing this for myself
BTW, when everytime I spawn an enemy, what up with the floating ? at the top of their heads?

I had that problem spawning monsters into my map. I guess you're playing on a map that has no aas file? That would do it.

That's correct -- you need to place a monster of the type you desire into your level before BSP'ing in order to generate an AAS file for your map.
The monsters use these files to navigate.
If for some reason you don't want to put in a monster right away, or if you want to have multiple AAS files generated without a lot of critters in view during construction, you can go to monsters/forceaas and place the entities you find there near your floor plane.
Examples are monster_forceaas32, monster_forceaasdroidindoor, etc.

Question: What is he or she wants to use monsters that are entirely maid by Doom 3 mod teams?

You'd need specific permission to use them. Although it's a mod and not bound by any sort of commercial legistlation, it *is* someone elses work which *is* bound to various degrees of copyright (just like the game), in other words it's best to ask before use.

My reply was in answer to Zixinus's question about using mod content.
As for your question - technically you *wouldn't* be able to use D3/Q4 content either but most people do when the end product isn't for distribution; in otherwords, so long as this was a personal project for you and only you, it's generally ok to use other assets for "the learning experience".
It's no easy feat to add those into the game btw ;)
