Ive tried restarting several times like it asks me to do... the game worked yesterday.... how do I fix this error?

Are you playing the retail or the Triton version?

Codex: Sorry for the delay (I just found this thread). Drop me an email. You shouldnt be getting that since there is no internal driver in prey. In any case it matches up with one of our messages, so it has to be ours.
