Is Prey selling well?

Hi here at 3Drealms, i,m wondering...
Is Prey selling above or below your expectations?
I hope so because i think such hard work and orginality in a game should be rewarded in the same way...

i've heard that there was a signivigant amount of buyers, but that is just what i heard.

When I picked up a copy yesterday, they asked if I had reserved my xbox copy. I was buying PC version anyway, and they looked at me like I was a lower life form.

From this experience I would suspect the xbox is selling like hotcakes in the southwest region, and the PC is collecting dust.

Additionally, I'm not seeing very much movement on these boards. Another indication that the PC version is stagnant.

When I went to pick up my copy on Tuesday, the clerk wouldn't stock the shelf with the PC copies of Prey. He kept them all in the back like some dragon protecting the treasure. The Xbox 360's were on the shelf. I have no idea what that was about. But it may be related to the fact that they still had 2 pre-order boxes left for the PC, and only 10 copies of LCE on hand.

My Best Buy still had all the LCE and standard PC boxes on the shelf. there are no promo posters or anything.

As for the xbox, there are only 2 LCE, and 4 standard ones for sale.

At blockbuster, only 2 out of 5 boxes were rented out.

When I bought Prey here in Germany on Thursday it wasn't even on the shelves yet. Might have to with the fact, that the official release date for Germany was Friday. ;)

Anyway: when I asked the clerk if Prey was already in, he said yes and opened a single box which was standing next to his counter. It contained about 7 copies of Prey for PC and about 20 copies for the XBox360. Doesn't seem to be a big release. And it was a pretty big and popular electronics market, mind you. "Saturn" if anyone is interested. ;)

the gamestop here in california keeps all their PC games in the back of the store. i think it has something to do with theft. i dont know if thats the real reason. but it sounds good enough
