weird weapon problem

The demo ran fine. but when i got the full version, as soon as it loaded into the second act, i cannot see my weapon anymore.
I mean, i can shoot and i see the crosshair but its like the weapon is invisible, even when i shoot granades i cant see a thing in my hand until after i realase it. Everything else is dandy, just the fact im shooting with invisible weapons.
Please help.

Try pausing, going into Options, switching Show Weapon Models to off, return to game, pause, go back into options, switch it on.
