I just got the PREY LE and I read on that on the back. I was just wondering what that means. Do I still have to download part of the game or do I get some extras on the DVD?

It means if you buy the LCE (which you have), you get upgraded to a DVD instead of the standard 3 CDs. Sounds like you bought the US version.

Well, you also get 2 figurines (1 more if you pre-ordered), a free DirectSong download of Volume 1 of the Prey soundtrack, an Art book, and a tin box.
It's not as much as your typical Collectors Box, but then again, it's only $10 more, so you do get a good amount for that $10.
The nitpick I would have is where/how the DVD is mounted, and that there is no goodies or neat extras on the DVD (It only uses 1.6GB of the space! Fill it with some awesome stuff, plz!)
i got a DVD Disc Upgrade yay
i just wondered, is it true that PCs with DVD-Drives are the minority in America and because of that regular versions of games get released on 3-4 CDs  or is it just tradition

Well, that's what i mean. The figurines and such was nice even the art booklet was rather slim. But I was hoping for some wallpapers or making ofs on the DVD rather than it just being a DVD. They could have put the OST right on the DVD sinse there is more than enough space left. And yes, the mount of the DVD was horrible. i put it in an extra case sinse it took me forever to get it out, mostly because I was afraid it would break the more I pulled on it.
Anyone downloaded the soundtrack? is it any good? Because I see there are like 3 OST for that game...which one to take... :D

According to SteamPowered (http://www.steampowered.com/status/survey.html) DVD drives are in 91.83% of the systems. Just 6.80% of the computer systems use standard CD-Rom drives. And a remaining 1.37% are undetermined.

They still have CDs for those people who own 3-year-old low-end eMachines.
I'm not kidding *looks at friend's father*. He got HL2 to work on it, but had to give Doom 3 to his kid cuz he had a 9800 Pro. :)
