Ouch. Why didn't you get the LCE in the first place? What are you gonna do with the CD version?

If you are selling, how much? I may have a friend or two that may be interested.

A nice advice; think before you buy!

Well i like the game alot, and supporting the company is good.

I also wanna re-play it in the future without waiting an hour to install it (my pc reads cds slower than my dvd-rs)
Im just hoping the LCE version i got is all there :)

Hehe... this reminds me: I still have to buy a second copy of "Serenity" (that movie that concludes the Firefly series).

Hell, there's nothign wrong with that. I've got three copies of Painkiller (Painkiller, Painkiller: Gold, and Painkiller: Black).

I'm considering getting the CD version of PREY for my collection and so Bon will have a copy when we get her a new PC.

Why not? If you enjoy a game, getting different release versions isn't bad. Besides, he'd now have two separate, legal serials. He'd be able to set up LAN games with friends who don't own a copy. Cool! :)

You don't need 2 different cd keys for lan play. I'm kinda shocked some one would buy more than one copy of a game. Especially prey of all games.

I don't see the reason to buy two copies of games for yourself. I would rather get the person to play me to get their own copy. :) I ain't got that kinda moola, and even if I did, that moola would be saved for something else (like DNF!)

Prey is an excellent game, i do know people talking about how Doom 3 was "repititive" but remember the original Doom was the same,
except you no mouse free look lol.

I still got my copy of Doom and Doom 2 on floppies :P

I don't know, I've lost count on the amount of times I beat Doom/Doom 2. I only ever beat Doom 3 once. At least the first two had the extra goal of trying to find all the secrets/items and kill all the monsters.

At any rate, on subject, obviously you wouldn't buy two identical versions of the game. He obviously bought Prey regular and then realised he could've got Prey LE instead. (ie maybe he didn't realise it was available where he lived at first or something)

If that's the case, I'd recoup a bit by selling the standard CD version. Craigslist, Ebay, or even on this forum.

Do'nt make me list how many copies of certain games I have. My three copies of Painkiller isn't bad compared to some others. ;)

Yeah, I've got so many copies of Sim City 2000 and Civilisation 2 that it's not funny. Mostly because I'll find a game I really want in a compilation, and it's usually a compilation with one of those two games. Or somebody else got one of those compilations and just gave me those games because they didn't want them. Wierd.
