Did anyone else notice this? When I found the video poker machine from the bar in, uh, whatever level it ended up in, I found it quite easy to max out the credits within a minute or so. Every time I'd hit the "draw" button after dealing, I'd get a full house, flush, et cetera.
Was this by design?

I think so. George mentioned it in an article about Prey.

Yeah I noticed that, I just assumed the machine messed up when the aliens picked it up.

There's another one lying around in a later level that I think is programmed the OTHER way. At least, it was when I tried it.

If you're referring to the Blackjack machine, which is the only other one I noticed, I actually won on my first 2 draws, and assumed it was programmed to win like that poker machine until I bet all my credits and lost. :(

If you look to the left of the poker machine, you'll see there's a large insulated cable coming out of it that's hooked up to the ship.

No, it's the Poker machine...
You can find it here: I think it's the level "Jen" where there is some kind of moving room, where you have store your body, and rotate it, using your spirit to get the body past the forcefields...
And yes, indeed, i NEVER lost in that game of Poker... first i thought i was being lucky, but after a time, i realized that i CAN'T be this lucky... ;)

Yea that machine was funny. It took me a few hands to figure it out. I didn't realize it never let you lose until I would hit draw and get royal flushes every time.

It should be dynamic to let you have some fun and not just win win everytime no matter what.

Well, the first poker machine, from the bar, works just fine...
I am btw a little disapointed how the slot machine was made... (one armed bandit) Instead of pictures, changing to another picture, it should have been an animation of the pictures actually rotating around, and the stopping on whatever image it ended with...
Or even better, let it all be physics, so it truly makes a dynamic and random choice...
Ok, this is maybe too much to ask for... But i hope at least DNF will have this thing, in enhanced form...

Yes, it's true, the aliens hacked most of the slot machines to make them easier to win.
