Trying to figure out an old movie from the 80s(???)

May have been the 70s. I have no clue.

Anyways, here is what i remember:

There was a boat out in the ocean or a lake and there were 2 mean guys and they get chopped up by the boat's propeller near the end of the movie and i think the propeller chops up a bag one or both were carrying and it spills a ton of gold bricks. :o

I think they kidnapped or held a family hostage, but I was a young lad and don't remember it very well. :o

Well, this one has some points in common with your description, I remember one guy being chopped by the boat's propeller as well a bag of gold which was tied underneath the boat to avoid being found by the authorities... But what probably called more my attention at the time was Brooke Shields... :D
