Anywho, I'm sure they'll throw in some new levels, weapons, etc. I really don't see how new weapons could be put in: almost all pistols are too similar to the Beretta, all SMGs are like Ingrams, and rifles are like the Commando.

Therefore, she can't be in a sequel or come back to life for a sequel, as much as it would be cool if she did (yes, I liked her).

Pay attention: Mona cannot be dead. She slumped over in the elevator in Aesir building, the doors closed, and when they re-opened she was gone. Now, do you expect a dead body to simply get up, push a button, ride up or down, and then walk away?

Yes, but Nicole Horne controlled the elevators, and presumably had the laser mines remote wired to be activated on a button press.
You notice how she does psychological warfare on Max when he's getting close to the end? I'm willing to bet this was part of it. And even if she was still alive in the elevator, don't you think Nicole Horne would've finished her off considering she just agreed to help Max get her.

Mona is not Dead!!!! I seen her and she was walking with Elvis! images/icons/cool.gif They are both planning to break Max out of prison for the sequel. Max is now listening to "Jail House Rock." Elvis put a secret message in the song so Max knows the info for the escape and that Mona is still alve! I'm personally listening to the album now trying to get more information about the Max Payne 2 release date. graemlins/hhg.gif

So, there's gonna be a 'Max Payne 2' huh? Stupid question, I know. When sucessfull games are made a sequel is never far behind. Personaly, I'd like to see Remedy make something else but have it use the MAX-FX engine. A Max Payne-alike game but set somewhere else and with different characters.

A Max Payne 2 will no way be as good as the original, yet how can they not make one knowing that lots of people will buy it for the title alone.

I say, Remedy, make a "A Better Tomorrow - The Game" or "Hardboiled - The Game" instead. Those titles won't sell as much as "Max Payne 2" but I bet you're sick at the sight of Max Payne buy now arent ya? images/icons/wink.gif

It's just plain stupid when game-developers make sequels to games that bear no recemblance(story-wise) to the original(Quake, GTA) just coz the title will sell more copies. So, Remedy, if you're not gonna make a game set in the Max Payne-universe then don't call it 'Max Payne 2'.
