ON GameSpy, they gave PC Action 2001 Game of the Year to Operation Flashpoint! Max Payne is better than that! Oh I'm mad again. images/icons/mad.gif I best go beat up some jerks in Kung Fu 2.0 again.

I like Max Payne, and all...but it can't compare to the scope, variety, brilliance, and all out pure goodness of OFP.

Well, Max Payne was game of the year for me, but OFP is excellent too...

Anacronox is certainly game of the year, but Operation Flashpoint is certainly good as well, perhaps more deserving than Max Payne even.

I played it through and loved almost everything in it. Though it wouldn't be the game of the year imo.

anyone played castle wolfenstein ? serious contender , but for me it would be operation flashpoint , so the graphics arent the best but what a game , such variety .

OPF and Max Payne are both good at what they do. Dont know why they're in the same category because saying one is better than the other is like saying helicopter is better than a car.

i actually bought Anachronox. loved it. very funny and entertaining.

actually i think Max Payne is a better game than OFP. it's just so polished package.

when i see the LOD system working in OFP i always get reminded that it's only a game. use a low poly model, or a high one, don't flip between the 2 every second.

same with trees and other objects in the game.
