Wow, a Max Payne movie due out next year?

I was just browsing around on IMDB (International Movie Database), and was looking up info on Max Payne, the game, but when I saw something about Max Payne in 2007, it wound up being this movie in production. I don't remember Joe or George talking about this, here's the linky:

If they weren't interested in making another game, why would they hold onto the IP? At least they did something with it, unlike other companies that sit on dead IPs just because they can.

Well, that that means Max Payne 3 is going to be crap. Figures cause Max Payne is too gritty for a sequel. Family is dead and he had gunned 7,000 scumbags.

Making a sequel to Max Payne is like making a sequel to the movie Commando. What would be the point?

There will most likely be a third Max Payne, and since it is heavily influenced by film noir, I would expect Max to die in part three. Make it a perfect trilogy.

Well, he did fall... but a fall doesn't mean death. ;) But to me, a trilogy would be perfect for Max Payne, anymore than that and your really pushing it.
