Does anyone know who did the box art for Wolfenstein 3d? I'm talking about this pic

I think, but would have to check, that it's Les Dorscheid.

Do you know if there is a high-res (I mean really high-res) scan of the above image anywhere? I found this (http://www.doomworld.com/pageofdoom/graphics/UltimateDoomPoster.jpg) DOOM artwork at really high-res and was able to make a poster out of it, and was wondering if their was a high-res scan of the wolfenstein artwork to turn into a poster.

I don't think such a thing exists.

The art from back then was done as real canvas oil paintings, I don't think supremely high quality images on the order of what you're talking about even exist.

We do have posters of these things, but they're not massive, they're about half the size of a standard movie poster (if not a little smaller than that).

I would expect the original artist has the oil original, so I don't think we could make a new digital copy even if we wanted to do that.

The art was done by "ken rieger '92"; says so slightly above BJ's boot.
Check this readable (http://www.mobygames.com/game/dos/wolfenstein-3d/cover-art/gameCoverId,3855/) version.

Yeah, I wasn't 100% sure on the name, I suppose I could have walked down the office and looked at the one hanging on our wall, but I forgot. :)

Forgot Reiger's name, but I know Les Dorscheid did a bunch of art around that time too.

You said you had half size posters of the artwork. Did 3Drealms create them on their own specifically for their offices, or are they available from somewhere else?

No, they were created internally just for use around the office. To my knowledge no one else other than id has these things.
