Doom mapping tutorials

OK, I tried mapping for Doom (I'm using DoomEditor), but I have no clue what to do. I managed to make a small, square sector, but when I go into 3D mode I can't see a thing. There was a guide at GameFAQs but it was just Frequently Asked Questions, so it didn't help me. Anyone know I really nice guide that will tell me step-by-step how to make basic stuff? Thanks.

Try using DOOM Builder (http://doombuilder.com). It's way easier. They have a PDF guide at the site to help you out too.
