The trailer seems like it's gonna be big fun - You play as a black guy but there doesn't seem to be any of that "yo homiez for life ya hear nigga lets go pop some bustas" shit in it.

Here's hoping it'll be out for PC someday.. :)

I heard they're not even gonna port it it PS2. And if they didn't port LCS to PC, they won't for VCS.

Good lord, honestly I'm not excited or interested in this at all. I would like to hear news on GTA4... but instead Rockstar just keep milking older games.

Soon there will be GTA:SA Stories, and Manhunt: Before the Hunt.

He's Lance Vance's brother I think, same last name. So no he's not a "gangsta", instead he's a stereotypical blacksploitation type. Personally I'm getting a little fed up of the milking going on here.

Well this game a shitty story anyway, as IMDB states this about Vice City:

At the exchange, masked gunmen kill three of the people involved in the trade (two Forelli henchmen and Victor Vance, Lance Vance's brother), stealing both the drugs and the money Tommy was charged with protecting. Vercetti narrowly escapes and informs Sonny, who demands that Tommy get back both the "product" and the money. Both Sonny and Tommy wish to kill those responsible for the theft.

So your character is one of the people who dies in Vice City? Now I remember Vance did say that.

Note that it's a different team/department (or whatever) - Rockstar Leeds - making the handheld games. Rockstar North (who made the major games) are still working on GTA IV ;)

If it's a fun game I don't give a crap about wether it's stereotipical or milked. The only thing that matters to me is gameplay.

If thats true why buy it at all if you already own a GTA game? Essentially they are all the same. LCS didn't add anything at all to the gameplay, even taking away SA additions. I doubt very much VCS will build on anything either. So if you get it, then you do *care* about the story. ;)

It's targeted towards a handheld, people...

I would say "new map and new characters" but that doesn't really apply for this one, does it :D

For me the story is a part of the gameplay. By "I only care about gameplay" I really meant "I don't give a shit about what you forumers are saying about it being milked". ;)

Well, it's 1984, so there isn't much ebonics going around, except maybe the "Bamaz." Phew, heavy sigh coming on. More special vehicles and cool little stuff I'll never get to see on a 25 inch screen. Sure, Rockstar never was very helpful to PC games, but I think Hot Coffee made them bitter for life.

I'd like to note, Rockstar isn't milking. I different department makes the PSP ports so quit whyning about seeing GTA 4 or 5 (whatever it is) 'cuz it has nothing to do with these games it's a whole different development team.

Also, the guy you play as sounds really cool and smart. Lance in the game is like steve urkel, so his brother must make him change to become what we see in VC.

I like these side stories. And for those complaining about it beeing on a small screen, you really are dumb. I playted LCS withe great ease on the PSP and nevr needed a magnifying glass.

The problem is people on forums are incredibly stuborn and refuse to actually look at something for what it is instead of what they want.

i agree with you guys they are milking it, i mean since the handheld market is so over saturated with Grand Theft Auto titles and all.

Okay, while some people are excited about this "new" GTA game that's fine. True, there are not a lot fo GTA games for handhelds.
But, I recently played GTA: Liberty City Stories... and it honestly felt like a waste of time.
It simply felt like I was replaying GTA3, except I play as someone who talks. Just for me, IMHO, these new GTA: Stories games are kindof a waste for anyone who has actualy played the original games.
They feel like a retread.

Of course they're milking it. GTA is about the hottest thing going Sony wise, and the PSP needs apps that'll sell. Liberty City Stories sold. So will this.

the reason it feels like a retread is that it focused on getting the GTA3 experience onto a handheld.
it'd definitely feel like a retread and not be worth playing on the PS2 when you just have GTA3 that you could play instead.

Personally I found LCS fun but it was a little on the bland side. I'm hoping it was them trying to figure out what they could do.

I think this one will be fantastic.

Isn't that exactly what is supposed to be GTA on the go? Isn't it cool enough that you can can be stealing cars while waiting in the doctors office? It's really not fair to compare these games to full blown PC and console versions.

I'm going to get it the second it comes out....it looks totally bad-ass and it tops my list of most anticipated games of the fall(and trust me there are a lot!!).

And since there obviously will be San Andreas stories, I totally am pysched to what happens on the west coast of the portable gta world.
