A question about Blood's Cryptic Passage

Was there something like "Authorized Edition"? What did it contain?

Basically it was the only "official" expansion, the only one authorized to sell with the consent of Monolith.

Yep, Plasma Pak was the official pak developed by Monolith. And Cryptic Passage was the only official add-on done by an outside developer.

Strangely, Cryptic Passage is more fun IMO.

It just means it was "Authorized" by Monolith. Nothing more, nothing less.

There wouldn't be anything special about an "Authorized Edition". I'm sure it's been re-packaged and re-sold in different ways, but the addon itself is the same in all situations.

It breaks my heart the Blood source code still isn't out there yet.
