Tecmo is working on the next Ninja Gaiden game and will turn on their focus to it once they are done with DOAX2. According to this interview http://trailers.gametrailers.com/gt_vault/t_doax2_itigaki_specialfeature.wmv
The best game for the Xbox is finally getting its sequel... YESSSS!

I just hope they upgrade the graphics more than they did for DOA 4.

Loved the first game. It was difficult! Challenge is always good IMO!
Ninja Gaiden and I have a love/hate relationship, but mostly love. It and Ninja Gaiden Black have kicked my butt many a time. :D
I've played Devil May Cry 3 and God of War, but they just make me want to play more Ninja Gaiden.
It was a long time since a game was so genuinely challenging without resorting to cheapness, although I'd be lying if I said the camera never got me killed.

Thanks for the link, I hadn't seen that interview yet. Ninja Gaiden and the Dead or Alive series rank among my most favourite games ever.
I was hugely disappointed when Ninja Gaiden Black wasn't released in Australia. Thank God for importing and modding. :D

PS3 is getting a remake of Ninja Gaiden with lots of extras and better graphics.

I wonder what this means for the future of Ninja Gaiden.
Is this the "next" NG Tomonobu Iitagaki was talking about?
Is there another, real, sequel in the works for NG? If so, will it be for Xbox360, PS3? Maybe both?
I didn't buy a console yet, but my mind was set on a 360 because it has the largest number of interesting games for me and it's more affordable. However, NG is my favorite Xbox game. So if the PS3 will get the Ninja Gaiden series, I will consider getting a PS3.
Anyway, I'd still rather this be on the 360, but it sure does look amazing.

.
That was very impressive. I've only played the game demo on the original Xbox--is the full original game anywhere near as amazing-looking as that?

Yes, it's close, but not AS good.
This new version has better-looking textures, shadows and the backgrounds seem more detailed.
Both versions look amazing and run just as smooth, but this one is definitely the superior.

Of course, Ninja Gaiden's mere existence on a Sony platform has led to all kinds of speculation about Ninja Gaiden 2 going multiplatform. While you can apparently never say never, if what I know is true, then Xbox 360 owners can rest assured that NG2 is being developed exclusively for Xbox 360. Will it come to PS3 four years later? I tend to think, given the schedule that Team NINJA has set for themselves over the next half a decade -- which is an exceptionally busy one -- that they will not port the game either.
This says, that there will be a NG2 exclusive to Xbox360. I usually don't believe sites unless they have official word, but this:
Of all the games shown at Tokyo Game Show, perhaps the one I was most interested to see was Ninja Gaiden Sigma. I've known about it for quite some time now, but haven't been able to talk about it...until now.
Means 1UP knows TECMO's backstage.
So I'll wait for that interview with TI in a few more days to see what unfolds.

Damn, the girls at the Tecmo booth were HOT, well most of them were...
Sigma looks great, but probably doesn't quite offer enough for me, who played through, the original, to buy it again. I may just wait for a full blown sequel.
But this is a must buy for those who never had the opportunity to play the original.
Looks like Rachel is playable in this one.

New interview with Itagaki. It's a very cool interview, don't press the spoiler if you want to see this.

Itagaki - the rock god of gaming. :D
I found it quite interesting that his protege will be porting the 360 games to PS3. Quite good for Japanese gamers, considering the relative unpopularity that Xbox has had over there.
