I'm primarily looking for something that'll last a few years. I'd like it to have paddle shifters behind the wheel. If it has partial-metal construction (like the pedals especially), that'd be great - but not necessary as long as it's durable.
I'm looking to spend no more than $100, possibly $150 (at least if I choose to buy it soon).

I was going to recommend this http://www.act-labs.com/Products/forcers.htm but I see they discontinued it. Too bad the pedal base was really heavy and never slid, the whole thing just worked really well. Mine is still working after like 3 years except it makes some electronic noise and force doesn't work right because I left it plugged in for like a year straight. I still use it though, it would be worth buying used. The only downside is the paddle shifters are plastic.

I can deal with plastic paddle shifters, I used to have a Thrustmaster wheel that bundled with a game. It crapped out after several years. I used the paddles for gas/brake.

I would recommend the logitech nascar wheel. It has lasted me for at least 2 years and it still works great. It is only 50 dollars new, and I'm sure you could find it for less. Also as far as games, not that you asked, but check out Rfactor. Great simulation software.

I think I'm gonna go with:

I've read good reviews. The NASCAR one I've read feels pretty cheap. It says it has paddle shifters, but I didn't see any on the images! The Momo one above, though, has 'em + knob shifter and better build quality.

Phait do you have a wood floor or carpet? It says the base has a carpet grip system which means if you have any other surface for a floor the pedals are always going to slide. My old wheel did that and it was beyond annoying.

True, but he can easily get a small rug for a few gold.
I forgot what wheel/pedal combo that i have, but it has the shifter, shift paddles and everything, but it's a few years old.
