OK, I don't know if this is the best place for this, but...
I have an old Forum. UBB 5.45c. I want to bring it up to date with something new. But it doesn't look like anything current will import from that far back. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately, it sounds like you're going to have to just lose that stuff and start over. Maybe you can export what you've got it as text and place it in an archives board on your new forum.
You could try Vanilla (http://getvanilla.com) for your new forum, looks pretty good.

That's not an option. I have six years worth of posts and thousands of members. If I have to get an older forum that can import from UBB 5.45c and then a new one that can import from the intermediate step, that's fine. But I don't know what the best way to do that would be.

I found this thread (http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=105782) at vbulletin concerning conversions of UBB 5.47.
I imagine Groupee would probably be able to provide you with an importer for their new software since they own the UBB brand. I swear by IPB, but they just made a point release and apparently their forum is overloaded.

early versions of vbulletin appear to be your best bet.
google on 'UBB 5.45c import' for some interesting threads.

the 3DR forums used to be UBB-based. Joe ported them to vB just fine. You should PM him.

/me looks at his old signature.
Aparently Joe found a way to do it while I was gone.
