This afternoon, I discovered a problem with the web server and being able to send out email. In short, our SMTP server at 3DR is not accepting connections from our web server (given how much we get hammered, we have to take extreme measures like that).
Anyway, this means that nobody can register a new account, as I've turned off new user regs. Since the forums can't send people their verification emails, there's no point in allowing them to register if they're never going to get their verification email. Once it's up again, I'll resend the verification emails for people who registered in the last 36 hours or so, which is when I believe the problem started.
This also means notifications of private messages, emails sent through the board, and any other sort of communication the forums have with you is temporarily not working.
We hope to have this all resolved tomorrow during the day.
