USB powered speakers for a laptop?

I think I'll need to hear these myself before making a decision anyway... But if any of you have any experience with USB powered speakers, please share them here.

Is stuff like this any damn good for laptop use? Power via USB would mean one less cord/no fiddling around with batteries.

I mainly use a headset with the laptop, but I'd like to have a decent pair of speakers handy.

Wow... I didn't even know you could get USB powered speakers :o

Bet it's the same technology that they use for their headset/mic combo. I mean, if you can have USB headsets, why not have USB speakers, right?! Seems logical if Win XP software/hardware technology can support this method, on top of the old RCA jacks that we've been used to for years and years on end.
