It won awards. Sales were good. Reviews were good. The end of the game after the credits even said Max Paynes adventures would continue.
Why hasn't there been any anouncement of a Part 2 as of yet?
The Game engine looks great as it is, so no changes needed there.
All we need is another version. Maybe this time one of Max Payne's fellow Cops could try to clear Max and we can see his adventure, along with Max breaking out of the Federal Jail and taking on corrupt Prison officails and guards.
There are many possibility's and they all can be done with the same graphical interface.
The only change needed is to make it possible once you finish the game once you don't have to watch all the in-game short film flicks. It makes playing the game a 2nd or 3rd time a real drag.

They've been working on console ports and stuff, they don't usually make these announcements before some work is done. And I'm pretty sure they'll do some more documenting and stuff before the next project, first projects always go with a little trying and failing, they can keep away from a lot of that now with some good planning.

Mobile,

We appreciate the fan interest, but we no longer announce products the day they start. I would expect that in the future when we announce games, you can assume that they are significantly underway at that point.

3DR has several things in the works that we haven't announced yet. Be patient and trust us. There are a couple of significant surprises waiting for you.

hey george, will we EVER see Prey? It was such a good idea, with such a amazing storyline - are you guys gonna make that game or what?

it is a much better policy not to announce future projects the day somebody comes up with the idea. In the end everyone is much happier...

I bet no fan likes 4 years of waiting
I bet no dev likes 4 years of nagging

sawn_off :How can they possibly be sequals if they happen the same time, and don't even have a stand-alone system (except Blue Shift)?

I dare you to name a game that sucked that came from 3drealms... Can't think of any? there's a reason for that..
