View Full Version : How long is the story?
I'm a bit confused. So far I thought that from the Roscoe St. Station to Easir Plaza was one night. A few minutes ago I accidently started the game again. I just played the first prologue, and then, before quiting the 1st level, I noticed it says "Two nights ago".
So, had the revenge of Max Payne taken 3 days?!
If so, why we never see the morning?
Does each part represent a day?
Was Max in his nightmares the entire time the sun was shining?
This makes much more sence, since the game looked a bit too long to happen in one night.

The story takes place during a huge blizard, the quote on the radio during the game was "Storm of the Century". Thats why there isn't a lot of traffic and people out and about in the buildings.
The city is at a stand-still because of the storm and everyone is staying home and not going out. Like in a lot of heavy snow, and rain storms - the sun is blotted out by the heavy snow and storm clouds.

It's kinda a joke. His family died three years ago and he avenges them in three nights. Roscoe Street-Lupino was night one, then he got drugged. Then Hotel-Punchinello was night two, then he got drugged again, then Cold Steel-Aesir was night three.

Er, I mean coincedence.
Yeah, that's what I thought: each episode = one day.
I was so confused about that, at the beginning I didn't understand how it's possible to go through all these levels and nightmares in one night.

Besides, Max Payne takes place in a film noir New York, where it's always stormy and 1:30 AM.
