Your favorite kill in Max Payne

Yeah, Max Payne has lots of kills, but some were cutscenes. The most are in Ragna Rock. Ther's the scene where you shoot the first guy and he flies back onto the trapdoor. And there's the scene where you shoot the guy off the high staircase, and the non-cinematic, but still cool way to fry people with the pyro controls. My favorite is the trapdoor. It's very action movie-esque, and someday, I wanna load up Kung Fu, go to the top of the stairs in the trapdoor room, and double-back-kick that guy off the top and have him land on the trap door far, far below. Another fun one is on "Police Brutality" when killing the guys you can try to keep them towards the edge and shoot them off the roofs images/icons/grin.gif . I also found that in Punchinello's resteraunt, when you start fighting thugs, you can throw a grenade down the open dumbwaiter hatch in the first (non-flaming) kitchen, toasting the thugs below perfectly. So, what's your favorite special killing method?

Non-cinematic; When you run down a set of stairs in the first level right after getting the shotgun. You come upon a subway platform with some goons hanging around. You put a blast into a thug by an door that's ajar, and he flys through and knocks it wide open. images/icons/grin.gif

In the "Let the Gun do the Talking" level, when the Byzantine Power Game music starts playing, I stepped into a room with a thug on either side of me, the one on the left with a Deagle. I rolled into the room and the Deagle thug fired a shot. The bullet whizzed above me and killed the other thug. images/icons/grin.gif

The best kill was in byzantine power, in the room that you need to explode a lazer to make that thing fall so you can climb on it. But I didn't need to, I came to the commando guy the moment he was busy putting the lazer, and I killed him.
Another time I tried that he just finished putting the lazer, fell on it, and exploded!

replacement killers may have had a weak story line but the action scenes were sick.

fav kill: used the M79 to shoot a guy, his body flys back thru a trip mine and kills 2 other guys, i think that was cold steel.

In Cold Steel, there is one part where you have to get through a whole room filled with explosive and trip mines. I was able to jump past all of it without setting anything off. If you know there area, when you exit the room you're on a bridge and you can see the other bridge with the entrance. If you walk further down, a scripted scene will come up where a commando guy will appear on the other bridge and attempt to follow you through the room. But when he gets inside... There was this one moment in the Hotel level, when this guy was just about to fire a long burst of Ingram fire at me. I managed to shoot another guy just before that however, and he fell right in the line of fire of the Ingram guy and his body took all the bullets for me. Shootdodge, headshot, and the Ingram guy falls.

At that point I felt like quoting Keanu: "Whoa."

In Part 1 chapter 5 Let the gun do the talking, there right in the end you enter a room with 3 bad guys. If you wait, one of them will go and take aim right in front of the window. A shotgun or a de will blow the guy out of the window. Cool one and easily replayable!!!

One pretty cool kill you can do is in the Restaurant level, in the last kitchen, the non-burning one with the dumbwaiter, that sawn_off mentions. When you enter the room, there's a thug there, running down the stairs after a while. On the floor by the left wall lies a gas canister -- shoot it and it will fly towards the stairs, explode and kill the thug. Simple but fun!

Can't remember which level it was, but it was the part where there are people under the skylight talking about how rich they'll be, selling Valkyr.

After a number of attempts I managed to shoot the gas cylinders so that the first one to blow kills the thug next to it, ignites the 2nd cylinder which propels itself across the room and into the 2nd thug who was running away.

My favorite kill is in the second level when youthrow the grenade into the hole that the camera comes out of in the blown up subway part and then you go to the first place you see rats and the rats start shooting you . my favorite part is when you shoot one of the rats and it shows them dieng in that mode thingy. images/icons/smile.gif images/icons/smile.gif graemlins/wid.gif

at the agna rock when you shoot the guy down the big staircase, you dive forward AND shoot you go flying off the edge with him it looks soo freakign cool. straight oyut of an action movie diving over a ledge while shooting someone then landging (safely?) on a drumkit hehe

My personal favorite is based less on target than it is weapon. Any kill made w/ the Sniper Rifle is just too cool! ( Now, if only the Desert Eagle could be scope equipped...!)

dude, try this is you can ever get the chance. I did this and wasnt even sure WHAT i did.

I forgot the level but its the one with the byzatine power game music in the background. In one part there are 4 guys on either side of you, and one is chucking grenades. So i threw a molotov cocktail in bullet time....his grenade and my cocktail exploded at the same time causing MAJOR graphics.....and guess what....I was Ingramming' their heads into little pieces during the explosion..I NEVER KNEW I COULD DO THAT!

My best was at Punchinello's house, in the room with that fat guy in white T-shirt and his two bodyguards.
At bullet time I burst into the room, kill both bodyguards from sniper riffle, and than him from dual ingrams. To remember bullet time, it was picturesque...

I found a good chain reaction in Hotel pt. 2. After you kill the guys at the table, go into the next room. As soon as you enter, shoot the standing gas bottle on the crate. NOT the laying down bottle. The bottle will go off, igniting the laying down gas bottle, which will fly into the wall killing the thug behind the crate. That ignites the bottle on the floor, which spins around and kills the last thug. Really, really fun and always works! Praise scripting!
