NEVER EVER make another one of those dreams sequences with the blood trail and the splash-points. I must'a killed myself about 50 times trying to jump from splash-point to splash-point! One other thing though, the sound effects in that part of the game were great. images/icons/smile.gif

I loved the blood mazes and dream sequences. They were really easy and showed Max's emotions. And I'm serious, they weren't hard at all. Some simple jumping never stopped me from anything.

Would you come over to my house then and show how to do it properly? images/icons/smile.gif

I think the maze was a nice touch, could have done withough the jumping. But it's a pretty small price to pay for such a great storytelling method.

I admit, I found those two dream sequences frustrating (yeah, I died a lot). But hey, my dear, how many games out there let you run and jump while screwed up on drugs? [damn, did I actually say that?] Anyway, I also thought the fisheye lens perspectives were beautiful and effective.

I understood what Remedy was trying to say with the dream sequences, like we're living through Max's personal hell, but I didn't like the implementation of it. There shouldn't of been anyway to die. That would've been much creepier. And I understand that the "maze" section of his dreams is a metaphor of his inability to deal with what happened. But as you can see, many people didn't quite "get" the message. Maybe try being more vocal in the next one...

I liked the dream/drug levels. Never had a big problem with the mazes. Actually, when I first noticed that the hallways in the first dream chapter was a maze, I feared the worst and started running, keeping to the right all the time. In the blood mazes, I just ran, basically. Annoying to fall off, but no biggie. There has been put much worse mazes in computer games.

The dream things where needed , else the game would have been TOO linear , it was a nice chance but yes .. sometimes fairly annoying.

I loved the dream levels, though the second one stumped me for ages so i turned it off, but when i came back to it again i got through it first time. Plus the PS2 controls for this game are not the best in the world so Max kept doing his lemmings impression with the long drawn out scream - that was annoying!
