I just got out of MCRD yesturday took a flight back from San Diego to L.A. I was shell shocked when i got off base i didn't know what to do hahaha. No drill instructers calling us hanous or stupid shit like that. Just curious if anyone else who has graduated a marine has that shell shock as well.
btw for anyone that is thinking of joining training is the best part of boot camp....and dont wear a marine corp shit on your first haha i learned that the hard way.

Are you referring to the original definition of "shell shock" or is that an idiomatic expression to mean that you were confused?
I do hope that it wasn't the former.
Although, I say welcome back.

Any good anecdotes or observations Icecold? My father was in like 45 years ago and he still remembers boot camp stories. My uncle was in during Vietnam and he thought there was less nonsense than there might have been otherwise because they were trying to get the guys ready for the war so the course of the training was different.
