I thought some of you, and obviously Dognose, would like this!

Back in '96 my dad had never really played a videogame in his life. He started watching me playing Duke3d and immediately became hooked. We only had one computer in the house so it turned into a competition between us to get access to the computer. Not too long later we added a second computer just so we could play each other. My dad lived Duke Nukem. It also started his video gaming career - something pretty cool for a 55 year old. Pretty much every shooter that came out on the computer after that, even to this day, he still plays and he still is convinced Duke is king. He may actually be Dognose's long-lost father, I'm not sure. He's retired now so he's played through pretty much every shooter there is, spending a bunch of time on his Xbox 360. COD4, Crysis, Bioshock, any shooter there is he's probably played through twice. He still goes back and plays Duke sometimes though.

Anyway, 12 years or so ago (holy crap) when Duke3d was still fairly new I needed to get him a Christmas present. He already had the game, obviously, and being a student at the time I was pretty short on funds so I took a chance and mailed a poster to 3drealms with a note saying how my dad was the biggest Duke fan ever and it would be awesome if somebody could sign the poster. A week later I got the poster back with a note from George Broussard telling me to give my dad his best wishes. I had it framed and it has been above my dad's monitor on the wall ever since. It is his favorite gift I've ever given him and he still talks about how cool it is. He likes to say it's like owning an original Godfather poster with the original crew's signatures all over it. He treats it like it's a relic or an altar. or something.

Anyway he called me two days ago excited as hell because a new DNF pic was released and then called me last night just as excited over the teaser video. I told him he should take a picture of his monument above his altar and send it to me so I could share it online with people who might like to see it, so here it is! Dongs.

The full-sized is huge but you can actually make out the signatures on it.

Amazing isn't it? He'll probably love DNF.

He is very remember able , I still play the side scrolling duke. It's not that he has to be amazing, it is just amazing by how well he can fit into any time frame.
