When I go to play my level a few seconds in it will "crash". I did something before (ctrl, alt, del and esc) and it put me back in now it won't do anything just make the computer noises when I do what I did last time images/icons/frown.gif

Did you re-build and save the map before playing it?

Try loading the map named 'Autoplay' in your maps directory. It's the last sucessfully compiled and run map the editor produced.

You can also change the editor settings so it autosaves your map over specific time intervals.

Is this for Unreal or UT? I don't see autoplay.

This should work for either Unreal or UT: when you run a map from the Editor, it saves a copy called 'Autoplay' in your maps directory.

Can you still load the map in the editor?

Ok now it just started working ok after I fixed something with one of the brushes (it had holes) but I don't think that was what was wrong.

After you start up the editor, go the the Advanced properties, then click on 'Editor-->Advanced'

Toggle 'AutoSave' to True and set a time interval in the following field.

If you're building a map for Unreal Gold, it should default to Single Player automatically.

If you're building for UT, it defaults to Deathmatch automatically, so you'll need to set the Gametype. Go to the Classes browser and expand 'Info-->GameInfo-->UnrealGameInfo-->SinglePlayer' Left-click once on SinglePlayer. Then go to the menu bar and click 'View-->Level Properties' and expand LevelInfo. Where it says 'Default Gametype: None' click on 'None' and then click 'Use' The 'SinglePlayer' game class will get plugged into the field. Now you map will start in Single Player mode only. images/icons/smile.gif
