Whoo! Cool map. images/icons/smile.gif

You can fix the transition area from the fogzone to the regular zones by adding additional ZoneInfo's in the areas bordering the FogZone and switching their bFogZone flags to true. (Even though you don't have any foglights in them)

I like to change my Zone Portals to the green AmmoCountBar texture and switch the 'Modulated' flag on to make it transparent. (If you click the texture browser button, this is one of the default textures that first pops up.) This allows you to see through your Zone Portals into other areas in the editor, but easily identifies it as a Zone Portal.

I'll post some more stuff after I play with it some more but I like it a lot. Thanks for letting us have a look at your latest creation! images/icons/smile.gif

Nutwrench:

I usually just click the 'joystick' icon if i really need to see past a zone portal. Your idea seems better, I'll definately have to keep it in mind.

I'm glad you enjoy it. I always need to have others play my maps, because i've been looking at it so long while i've been making it, I can't see trouble areas in my map as easily.

Thanks!

Ok, here's what I came to think of. images/icons/smile.gif

Don't like:
-those red flags, I don't see how they fit with the map
-that really red fog should either be made less red or be removed completely
-thought some of the textures look weird. images/icons/wink.gif
-it looks a bit like a mess, I prefer maps that look clean
-and it felt too tight, could use a bigger room perhaps.

Do like:
-the smoke, but maybe there's a bit much in some places, like the places where you have two next to each other it could be just one
-the lighting is well done and the shadows look nice

Keep improving. images/icons/smile.gif

Hey, thanks for the incite. For some CRAZY reason, I always say 'I'm going to make a bigger level this time' and i sometimes end up filling it to the brim with decorative junk.

I'm going to ease back on that on my next maps.

Thanks again!
