What the hell, I signed up for one, but IIRC the publisher Ziff Davis, who is the same one who publishes eWeek (which I had a free subscription for also), sends a fair bit of spam to your email...

I am reminded of a offer to a free oprah magazine that I went to sign up for my wife. The questions just kept going on and on until finally I gave up. afterwards my wife was asking me why all these people were calling and emailing her.... "I dunno...." :)

Believe it or not, I signed up for the Computer Gaming Magazine (which turned into GFW) about two years ago and I'm still getting free GFW magazines every month. I figured it'd end after the first year, but they're still coming. Just recently got the feb 2008 issue with some game called "Demigod" on the front. Thanks Joe. :woot:

Well, since I only paid thirty bucks for Lost Planet and I liked the game... yeah. I would say the subscription was free. ;)

I have gotten a few mags from these things. I have only once renewed one with money. The rest I figure I'll just let them send me a year's worth for free if they really want to. :)

Well since Microsoft own the HALO IP and Bungie has severed ties with MS.... yeah it's fake. Bungie will not be doing another HALO game for a long time... if ever.
