While most of the logo's look better over time

I like the 2003 palm and the 2004 xerox better.
Imo they get your attention more.
Which is what a logo is supposed to do.

Heh, neat!

The "latest" Apple logo isn't exactly correct. The shape is right, but they've started using a flat, opaque Apple, usually in gray or white. During the Tiger era, the Apple was also found in bright blue, or in white on a bright blue background. The glassy graphite/aqua Apple hasn't been a big thing since Jaguar and Panther.

But if it's just about the shape of the logo, then it's perfectly fine. They're mostly down to color changes at this point.

Ryche's rotating logo is quite hypnotizing.

The word "Nokia" in Finnish, by the way, means a dark, furry animal we now call the Pine Marten weasel.
It does? I thought "Nokia" means a city in southwestern Finland. :p

I notice how these logos get duller and less creative over time..

The New Xerox logo looks terrible, it looks like the XBox symbol.

Not sure why, but that was interesting.

I like the rainbow apple logo better actually, but i'm a sucker for retro.

This is a cool site if you need a logo in vector format: www.brandsoftheworld.com

I lurve the rainbow apple. I actually wish my custom yellow iBook had the rainbow inset. That would look way awesome.

Must have been before my days then ... or do I just not remember it rotating? :insomnia:

They're not his. I've had those on the website for over a decade. :)

They have, however, not been in active use for quite some time now.

Well, like I said, then I must be OUT OF MEMORY ERROR?
I remember the logo but not the rotation.

Eh? Xerox changed their logo? I've never seen anything yet with that new logo. Next time I order toner or drums from them (for work) I expect to see it :D

Didn't that one MS logo last longer than 1987? I could swear that Windows 3.0 (1990) had the old logo. Granted, I haven't had access to it in a while....

And I miss Apple's glassy logo. It's always flat now. :(

EDIT: Apparently not.... http://toastytech.com/guis/win30logo.gif

Huh... Canon's original name was Kwanon? Pfft, no matter why they changed their name.

EDIT: Oh, one company that wasn't covered was Intel, believe it or not, because they've been evolving...
EDIT #2: Another company that comes to mind now is Compaq, since they (HP) just recently changed their logo.

I don't know if this is related or not, but...

Positively eerie studio jingle. I still remember this from my childhood, attached to the beginning of many Bond movies...and most surreally, Pink Panther cartoons.

Right, but it still surprises me that Intel wasn't covered, since they had history.
I remember all those "Intel Inside" logo changes between the time when they had the 386/486, then they changed the logo when the Pentium was released, now they changed it again when they made the Core CPUs, so there's plenty of changes between then and now.
