OH I see. You open a map and you get that maps textures. Hmmm i wonder if there is a way you can get all the textures without opening the maps. You think?

I'm new to it myself man, but I think I can help. Go to the texture browser. Click "file", "open" and pick something like ancient or industry. Open it and you'll see some textures. remember that some "packs" are divided into groups. Just click the drop down menu and you should see some...

There is no need to open up another map to get textures. In the texture browser window simply click the open button and it should open in the texture folder, from there on you can click on a texture package and open it.

Heres a few links that'll help you out on the basics of ued2 (I hope you are using ued2)

This site has the basic tutorials and usage of ued2 and a few advanced tutorials for unrealEd 2

I know it doesn't have much on unrealed 2 but the ued1 tutorials can also be used for ued2.

there's a little button up at the top toolbar that looks like a painting. It's the texture browser. Go to file -> open in the textyure browser and select the texture package you would like to use. They include the wall textures and such.

In UnrealEd, the tall window over on the right can switch between 4 different types of browser, youjust need to select the 'Texture' one. images/icons/smile.gif

Never mind you all I found it. At the bottom of the right window there is options like edit, apply, save, load and other stuff like that. If you click on load you get the textures window. I thought all thos options were to save and load your map. images/icons/grin.gif
