Well my problems continue and I can't but think I must be doing something wrong.

As with my previous post with regards to placing lights I am having the same problem at intermittent times. The error is as follows:

General protection fault!
History: URender:ClipBspSurf <-URender: OccludeFrame <-UEditorEngine : Tick <-UpdateWorld <-MainLoop

If anyone has any idea what I can do about this it would be very much appreciated.

Which editor are you using? UnrealEd 1 or 2?

What kind of graphics card are your using?
Do you have the latest drivers installed? The latest DirectX?

Does changing any of the software rendering options help? (Like switching off coronas, transparency, translucency).

I am using UnrealEd 2.

I have an Annihilator

I believe I am running the most current drivers.

It doesn't seem to matter what I turn off. It crashes updating the 2d Windows, or occasionally just opening a map.

So far I have only been using software rendering.

I am not running any other programs while I run UnrealEd 2.

make a backup of your map.

try typing:

obj garbage

into the UnrealED console. See if that helps ya.
