Boo Boo Juice

I know we have a Wii thread, but I wanted to create a thread focusing specifically on this particular title. I couldn't find one earlier.
Basically, I am hoping that those of us getting the game can share tips, set up matches, or just talk about the game in general within this thread.
I for one wasn't really interested in getting the game. I had way too many fighting games on my plate. I was and still am playing Virtua Fighter 5 and sometimes I still hop on Street Fighter III. Also, with Soul Calibur 4 coming soon and Street Fighter IV, Tekken 6, and King of Fighters 12 all being announced and expected to release this year, (aside from King of Fighters 12) I had no time to even pay attention to Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
Everyone at work is picking it up, that I know of, and all my other friends are super excited about it. So I finally checked out a lot of videos and things like that and now I'm really excited to pick the game up as well.
I must admit, I was never a fan of the franchise. I started playing when Melee came out. I hated the game. It was all because of the supposed emphasis on items. I hated how the game felt more like a race to get a specific item. Sometimes I didn't mind it. Most of the time I just wanted to do one-on-one matches and focus on the actual fighting. So I stopped playing after about a week of it being released.
Then I started to see and hear about some really high level competitive play. I'm talking "Evolution" status. I didn't know it had become that popular. I started watching videos and noticed that the matches were one-on-one and there were no items. I had no idea you could even turn the items off! Unfortunately I still never got into it, but I knew that if I did I would be happy knowing that you could play the way I would've liked.
Now we have Super Smash Bros. Brawl coming out and I'm excited to get my hands on playing Sonic and Snake.
I hope there are some people here that are excited about it as well and I hope to fight some of you in some friendly four player matches or some more "competitive" style play.
