The Witcher (soon),NWN2+exp (soon), Roller Coaster Tycoon, Indigo Prophecy (for $9? wow) and a bunch of others. This is really cool. Shame the Witcher is probably the US censored release though, they should have waited and just released the rerelease UK edition.

What of current owners of such titles? Will Steam become an "update" or will we get to just ignore it?

As with every other company - it doesn't mean anything. It's just another outlet for new customers.

I also note that they have Indigo Prophecy rather than the unedited Fahrenheit, though I guess they'd have to do it that way unless they were going to filter by IP address?

You most likely see Fahrenheit though right? Just like the Witcher it most likely varies by location.

None of the games are officially available on Steam yet, so I don't know what they're going to do -- but it would be nice if they could do that, yes ;)

I really enjoyed the NWN2, haven't finished exp yet. NWN2 was really great storywise, after the first act.

Oooh yay for Indigo Prophecy.. I hope it is unedited and all that though. I loved that game so I'll definitely buy it through Steam.

Hold your horses, ADM...
Starting today, gamers in North America may add the following Atari titles to their Steam games library
I've noticed Valve have started doing this lately, restricting access to titles and packages based on region. It's my first real gripe with the system.

Is it true that Valve has a currency printer hooked up to the Steam servers that shoots out $100 bills?

Bah humbug. Hopefully it won't stay that way.

I remember reading their announcement for Company of Heroes Gold and thinking "Great! I've been waiting for a cheap time to buy that", only to find out that due to region restrictions, the link to order just led me to the Games front page.
