Up to this point I have not been too sure if I will buy UT2K3. However since I rarely buy games for the game but rather the editing aspect I was wondering about the updated editor and other tools that came with it. How is this stuff all working and is it worth picking up as the next step in level designing tools.
What all came with UT2K3?
I heard that it was going to include some chopped down version of Maya that we could use to create our own 3d object to import into the editor.
yes, it's worth it for the editing tools.
been working on a map for the last couple of days. The poly counts and detail are much more flexible and tools are great.

Sounds good. Guess I'll pick it up, just not for the game itself.

What did you like about the full version of the game? (Besides the editing tools)
Are the other levels any good? Any gametypes or mutators that you particularly liked? Are there any single-player modes? If so, are there any monsters?
(I'm thinking of picking up the full version at Babbages this weekend) images/icons/smile.gif

I played UT for 3 years, and i only started learning some of the cool mutators after 2 years, and i only figured some cool things in maps after 2 years, so atm im trying to get used to the maps and learning how to exploit there "weaknesses".
ATM im not enjoying it as much as i did UT, but i think its because of several things. I'm sure you'll enjoy it tho.

Well I got it now. One question though. One I am pretty sure I already know the answwer to but have to ask anyways.
Is there any way to get the Maya that comes on the CD to run under Windows 98SE?

No, it only runs on Win NT/2000/XP.

I thought so. I can get NT but would you recommend one of the other OS it will run in over that?
