When reading a postal3 interview there was mention of some films called "August Underground" and "Guinea pig". each series comes in multiple parts. They are meant to be incredibly sick and twisted in the same sort of level as "cannibal holocaust" and "men behind the sun"
Has anybody seen any of these films?
Are they worth seeing?

The guinea pig series basically started out as torture films but later on they did all sorts of things. They give a decent run down of each on wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guinea_Pig_%28film_series%29)
Cannibal Holocaust isn't really an extreme horror. It's sort of midground.
As for them being worth seeing it depends on what you think is worthwhile :P
I mean some people think "Slaughtered Vomit Dolls" (yes real movie. Google it for the trailer) is worthwhile (ok I haven't really met one of those people :P)
[edit]I hadn't looked into August underground before. Just did a little research. Seems... extreme. Dunno if it'd be worse than guinea pig it'd at least be as bad. You've really gotta be into gore to stand watching these kind of movies. They generally lack any sort of social commentary or wit or deliberate camp and just revel in gratuitous violence.

I think you answered your own question. No. Why?

Its just curiosity, whenever I hear of something that has been banned or has a notorious reputation I like to see what all the fuss is about thats all. Plus sometimes I like to be shocked.
Anyway I tracked down some clips from both series on youtube. The August underground stuff came across as really stupid with bad acting and a horribly cliche'd killer.
The guinea pig stuff was pretty graphic but unconvincing.

I've seen the Guinea Pig stuff and the August Underground stuff (guess that makes me a sick person...whatever, blow me) and August Underground is BY FAR the sickest thing I've ever seen.
...I'm serious. You want to see the hardest of the hardcore? See August Underground. Now a movie like this doesn't require any kind of warning since you know what you're getting into but please hear me:
This movie will deeply affect you (even if you've seen some pretty sick movies) and you'll feel really uncomfortable watching it. If you're safe in your own skin and can tell the difference between right and wrong then I say make up your own mind...but I did warn you. :)

Now this is a topic I like. I can personally recommend the Guinea Pig series.
I haven't seen Men Behind the Sun since the DVD doesn't seem to be available in alot of places. But I remember August Underground being so boring that I didn't watch it to the end.

Mermaid in a Manhole (4) is a love-drama as is The Android of Notre-Dame (5).
The Devil's Experiment (1) and Flowers of Flesh and Blood (2) are exploit movies.
He Never Dies (3) and Devil Woman Doctor (6) are gore-comedy and great at that too.

Have seen parts from 'Guinea pig'. The only thing I can tell you is that it isn't worth to waste your time with this shit. Honestly, I love good story based horror movies like Romero's '**** of the Dead' series. Dario Argento's 'Daemons' or 'Dämonen' as it is called in Germany and Lucio Fulci's really distasteful Horror movies like 'The Beyond' or 'Gates of Hell' ('Woodoo' was really great. Like the 'Zombie vs. Shark' fight).
But 'Guinea Pig' is less of a horror movie but more like a 'snuff' video like 'Faces of Death'. That's not what I expect to be good horror. I want to experience survival action a good story plot not such shit how a person is tortured.
Try to make your luck here.

It has a pretty good horror movie database.

^Yeah I love Romeros zombie films, (Cant wait for "Diary of the dead") and the "Demons" movies as well. Cant say I care much for Fulci though. I've seen "the Beyond" and that zombie one with the shark as well as one other with a priest that commits suicide and comes back possessed (Or something like that) and people puking up guts and a guy gets a drill through the head, I wish I could remember the name.

The german title of this Fulci movie was 'Ein Zombie hing am Glockenseil' there existed four different cut versions here in germany, each time one has been banned they released a more cut version with a similar sounding name. The uncut version is 'Ein Zombie hing am Glockenseil' the cut versions have had the titles 'Ein Toter hing am Glockenseil', 'Eine Leiche hing am Glockenseil' and 'Ein Kadaver hing am Glockenseil'
The Italian original name of this movie should be 'Paura nella cittā dei morti viventi'. Know not all the English titles of this movie but it should be easy to find out with the italien name, would begin my search with 'City of the Living Dead' maybe 'Gates of Hell'.

They said that City of the Living Dead is a sequel of sorts to The BEyond. Is this true?

Who is they? Heard that the same team had to do with the movies but that seems to be everything this two movies have in common. (Or the three movies, if you put Zombi 2 in this line of Fulci movies.)
Fulci's Zombi 2 or the 'Island of the Living Dead' was the inoffical second part of Romero's 'Dawn of the Dead', 1978. This movie has not been connected to Romero's first Zombie movie 'Night of the Living Dead' or 'Night of the Dead'. 'Dawn of the Dead' gained it's popularity with names like 'Zombie im Kaufhaus' or just 'Zombie', so Fulci produced with 'Island of the Living Dead' the sequel to 'Dawn of the Dead' also known as 'Zombie 2'.
'City of the Living Dead' or 'Gates of Hell' is losely based on a short story by H.P. Lovecraft's 'The Dunwich Horror'.
A priest who committed suicide by hanging himself and set free the dead on the graveyard he desecrated.
'The Beyond'
Deals about a haunted hotel, that should be one of the seven gates to the underworld/death/hell.
So the stories are not related to each other.
But like Romero's quadrilogy 'Night, Dawn, Day, Land' could be seen as unit Fulci's fan's see 'City of the Living Dead', 'The Beyond' and 'The House by the Cemetery' as unit.

Wasn't one of the Guinea Pig movies mistaken for a real snuff film by Charlie Sheen?

"Faces of Death" had about 4-5 sequels and it's not technically horror, though it will have you reaching for the barf bag due to its graphic subject matter. It's filmed in a documentary style and mixes actual footage of autopsies, car crashes, industrial accidents, etc with re-enactments.

Can barely remember an episode of 'Faces of Death' where they showed how they bound a man with his limbs between four horses to tear him appart, because he wasn't able to pay his debts.
Even if this is faked does it make clear, that this 'Faces of Death' team wouldn't pay the debt if it means to prevent a persons painful assasination. So it is really ill shit.

I remember watching that scene in Faces of Death. It appeared to be shot with one camera, but there were definitely staged cutaways, so I'm assuming it was faked.
The Banned From TV series appears to be the real thing however.
There was also a Traces of Death which had real footage.
